A Door Closed, A Greater One Opened

On 8.9.10 at 11:12 PM, after I was baptized, my life changed forever. It was on Pastor Carl O'Donnell’s birthday that I stepped into the waters of baptism at the Meduxnekeag River in the middle of the night. The moment the water washed over me, I felt a peace unlike anything I had ever experienced. Standing by my side, witnessing this overwhelming moment, were Irene Shephard and her daughter, Samantha. What I didn’t realize at the time was that this was not just a new chapter, it was the beginning of an entirely new journey, one that would shape my faith and purpose in ways I never imagined.

Not long after, the Town Gallery, where my artwork had been displayed, closed its doors on me because they did not want Bible Scriptures on my Artwork. It felt like a loss at first, but the Lord had already prepared another way. Pastor Carl, the very man who baptized me, opened the doors of the Pembroke Baptist Church, giving my canvas prints a new home. It was a clear sign of God’s perfect timing, and the scripture Revelation 3:8 immediately came to mind:
"See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. (HCSB)"

Pastor Carl's Sunday morning radio show on KIXX FM carries that same spirit of faith and renewal. Since 2019, his voice has reached beyond the church walls, touching lives through music, humor, and devotional messages. My sister Andrea, all the way in Germany, listens faithfully, proving that God’s word has no borders.
